Julie is the owner of Florist with Flowers at Carlingford Court – having opened her business in 2011, We recently spoke to Julie about her business, and what she loves about Carlingford Court.

When did you first open your business?

Florist with Flowers became ours in 2011.
After being in the floristry industry for over 20 years, we knew we had what it took to own and run a thriving and successful business. 11 years on and still going strong!

Why did you pick this centre?

We were already quite familiar with the area it is quite local to our home and our suppliers. From already being familiar with the store we knew our customers were just as passionate about our flowers as we were.

The area & the centre is also close to our home. We knew from past experience that our customers would be as passionate about flowers are we were.

What do you love about this area?

We love Carlingford because the community has been supportive and loyal over our time here. We have got to know a lot of our customers and it is nice to see their friendly faces each week and we enjoy helping them brighten their homes with beautiful flowers and plants.

What was your most memorable sale?

It’s hard to pick just one! For me it would be seeing the appreciation when you have helped one of our regular customers organise flowers for all the special moments and milestones in everyday life be it flowers for the birth of a New Baby a family Birthday or any occasion that may need a gorgeous bouquet or arrangement.

What is your most favourite product available in store?

All our gorgeous flowers and plants of course!

I have lots of favourites, it’s hard to choose but I would say it’s quite seasonal. Most of the flowers I love are only available for a very short periods of the year like Frangipani’s, Hydrangea, Peonies, gorgeous local Garden Roses, Lily of the valley, Sweet pea and all the bulb flowers like Daffodils, Jonquils and Freesia would all be high on the list.
